YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Flipping the Iceberg 3 Day Youth Leadership Program
Develop, Discover & Define your way to a Success!

One of the most asked and unanswered question in life is “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The reason for the hesitation when this question is asked is that most people do not know themselves and their talents so defining themselves in the future is HARD.

I have asked myself this question over and over again and through that asking “Flipping the Iceberg” was formed. A systematic approach where participants will discover their leadership qualities and who they were designed to be. Icebergs, like people, are beautiful, unique and amazing. We know that on average only 10% of their mass is visible above the water.

That's a lot like our own potential isn't it? Most of the time it feels like 90% of what we are capable of is dormant under the water. Why do we feel like that? What can we do about it?

The programs concept is to FLIP THAT ICEBERG! Tap into that 90%.
This program is about teaching young people to understand who they are, where their strengths lay and pull it together with direction and purpose to become strong leaders.
Most young people are not able to connect their talents and abilities to what they want to do in the future.
Flipping the Iceberg helps them to clarify who they are, what they can do and what they need in order to be successful. With the tools they gain, participants can be more purposeful and well equipped in becoming strong leaders in their own lives. This in turn will allow them to make decisions producing a more fulfilling future. When participants leave this workshop they will be equipped to design their blueprint based on their aspirations and passions.
Flipping the Iceberg is a 3 day informative and highly interactive leadership workshop, teaching participants the importance of developing clarity and purpose in life. Participants learn best when they are engaged at the core of their learning processes. This workshop highlights what they NEED in order to be successful and shows how they can use this knowledge in their everyday activities. Resulting in better decision making, participants are happier with a more positive attitude.

I say, “You cannot be anything you want to be but you can be everything you were designed to be.” Design your future for success by gaining tools to enhance your leadership style.

Discovering Personality Style

Participants work in groups in guided and creative discussions, with assessment modules. Many of the challenges we encounter deals with personality clashes. As leaders it is vitally important we understand people. It doesn’t matter where you go or what you do for the rest of your life you must deal with people. As leaders learning people skills will bring you success. We are driven by our needs and understanding the needs of different personalities is paramount. Each group chooses an individual to write their findings on the flip chart/ board. Through different modalities we gain knowledge of personality styles then identify and discuss the differences. Participants learning about themselves and different personalities naturally build strong relationships which enhances their leadership abilities.

Exploring Talents

We all have 8-10 talents where fundamentals come easy and challenges can feel more like fun. Leaders learn their most valuable talents and how to utilize them. Most find it difficult to articulate their talents and some feel overwhelmed just thinking of their 8 talents. We assess highly successful leaders and what they do differently to attain success. Through their personality styles and talents a picture is painted, a pattern is illustrated, giving insights as to why they are successful.

Operating System

A successful leader understands how their own beliefs, values and preferences affect them. We discuss why it is necessary to actively manage our Operating System in order to mould it and achieve true success. We discover what each participant is like through a series of questions. What beliefs/ values hold them back or help them to prosper.
We discuss these questions and what best practices are employed by the highly successful. We learn what is possible for you, and explore avenues to attain the success you want. We learn to flip the iceberg.
Awareness brings change, Change breathes success and success liberates you!
